"Pat and I st the age of 19 set out hitchhiking across the country, bumming rides and sleeping in culverts. We made it from Iowa clear to Seattle and then down to LA, came back through Arizona and Missouri. A whole summer of hoboing around. Quite an adventure, with a lot of craziness.
