Lois E. Culbertson, 93, of Asbury, formerly of Sherrill, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Grand Meadows Senior Living surrounded by her loving family.  A private celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

Lois was born on September 21, 1932 to George B. and Letha V. (Hutson) Cox in Oneida Township, Iowa.  She was united in marriage to Garth E. She and Garth were members of NOMADS (Nomads On a Mission Active in Divine Service) providing volunteer labor for historically Methodist organizations. They were members of the Tri-State Travelers and toured much of the United States in their motorhome. Lois will be remembered for her soups, sweet rolls, and cakes along with her love for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Michele) and Mark (Sue) Culbertson of Dubuque; Kent (Kathy) Culbertson and Kim Culbertson of Sherrill; 6 grandchildren, Brent Culbertson of East Dubuque, IL; Jared Culbertson of Litchfield, MN; Melissa Schmitt of Sherrill; Amanda Laufenberg, Jason Culbertson, and Jeremy Culbertson of Dubuque; 3 stepgrandchildren, Miranda Leonard of North Liberty, IA; Bobby Ball of Corpus Christi, TX; and Josiah (Angie) Ball of Portland, OR; and 17 great grandchildren and 4 great stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garth; her parents; and four brothers Milner, Merle, Gordon and Francis and one sister Phyllis Hakanson.
