My sincere sympathy to all of Trete’s family. The Kolz clan was my second family all while living in Garber. It was a few years after high scn

It was a few years after high school that Trete and I became really close buds…I was running the local store and Trete moved back home with Paul and Esther. We made many runs to see movies in Dubuque, played countless card games at the Kolz dining room table (it was hard for Trete and I to beat Paul and Esther at euchre!), went to many yard sales and farm sales, and we shared plenty of laughs. I flew to visit Trete and James in California, flew out to drive a vehicle to Iowa when they moved back. Trete and I talked on the phone often. She was one of my best friends in life, we supported each other in good times and troubling times. I miss writing to her. When ending a phone call, instead of saying “Goodbye” she would say “Peace.” May she rest in PEACE. Agg
