Teresa F. Kolz-Danuser

Teresa F. Kolz-Danuser, age 75, sadly passed away from a lifelong illness on September 27, 2023, at the Luther Manor Nursing Home in Dubuque, Iowa, with family members at her side.

It was Teresa’s wishes to have a private family ceremony at Mount Harmony Cemetery, in Garber, Iowa, where her ashes will be interred.

Teresa is survived by her beloved son, Uland Danuser of Iowa City; her brothers, Byron and Karl Kolz; her sisters, Hollis Schroeder, Deborah Biederman, Elissa Nowatzki, and Maureen McDonagh.

Teresa was preceded in death by her veteran husband, James Danuser, of Iowa City; her parents, Paul and Esther Kolz of Garber; her brother, Paul, and sisters, Mary Carol Ann and Sharon.

After the death of her husband, Teresa lived most of her years in her beautiful townhome with her kitty at the Luther Manor Senior Living Residences in Asbury, Iowa. She was surrounded by good friends and enjoyed a variety of activities, including a daily swim at the Clubhouse; reading; volunteering at the local children’s library; antiquing; writing; shopping with her nieces; exchanging cards and letters with lifelong friends; and adding to her elephant collection with the enthusiastic help from others.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful friends and caretakers at Luther Manor, who cared and loved her through her illness.

May her unforgettable spirit for life be forever free to light up her universe and our hearts in memory of her.
