Cynthia Jayne Sutton "CJ"

"Keri & Family, \r\nWe just learned of Cindy's passing & I am so sorry!! Our friendship with Cindy (aka CJ) goes back to our time together at Miami University & the years that followed. It was during this time that she was first diagnosed with MS, with varying ups & downs in the disease process. I am sure that these experiences with Cindy led to my life-long career as a Social Worker at Dodd Hall, the adult Rehabilitation Hospital at The Ohio State University Medical Center & my many years spent working with, & being on the Board of, the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Columbus, even receiving the coveted MS Hope Award in 1991. As our lives became more complicated with families & careers, we lost touch with each other, but for years, \"Aunt Cindy\" was part of our nighttime prayers with our children. We reconnected in more recent years & Dick & I had planned to try to come visit at some time in the new year. I regret not being a better correspondent over the years & not keeping in closer contact with Cindy & other significant people in my past. I will truly miss her & the important roles we played in each other's lives over the past 50 years.\r\nLosing your mother, your rock, your stable support through all the ups & downs in your life, is one of the hardest losses we endure! Cindy had fought so hard over the years to not just survive, but thrive in spite of her MS, & then unexpectedly she is taken from you (from all of us). Suddenly you feel like you're an orphan & yet now you are the older counsel in the family taking Cindy's position. I know how hard & painful that is!\r\nI leave you with this Irish saying: \"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.\" Cindy's love will live with you for the rest of your life. I offer my Love & Hugs to you & your family as well as my Prayers for comfort & peace. Kitty Rohrer (& Dick)"
