Bernice Wright

There are so many things that could be said to edify the root of my family tree, but i can't find the word enough to type without wanting to cry, i want to fall into a place where i allow no one else to get in. She taught me better then that, taught me how to go forward, how to manage, how to apply my maternal instinct to bring about the best outcome for my children. How to turn my love for family into footwork, and how to listen to God; to apply the lessons learned from good and from bad for myself and my family's benefit. There isn't word enough in this world, or a vocabulary strong enough to reflect how i am feeling about her transition; her transformation. Grannie was always a force, the energy. I take a small amount of refuge in understanding that energy never dies, it transforms. I love you grannie, i miss you.

I miss Granny a lot. It's hard to accept she is no longer with us in physical form. She gave her family so much. She taught us to stick together and it was beautiful to see how many people called and came to see her. It was a testament of her character and her energy. She was so strong. She passed with such grace. I've never witnessed such resilience. She brought everyone together. And she will live on with all of us. She dedicated her life to her family. And we carry on her love, her energy, her resilience with us. I love you Granny. You are missed and loved. Thank you for all you have given me.

My Mama Bernice was a Phenomenal Women! She taught me The Good, The Bad and The Ugly! She taught me how to grow up and have contribute to the woman I am today. I'm grateful to the Mighty God for my Mama/Ms. Bernice for placing her in my life and will never forget her. She will live through me and all the people she has touched. She is the Granny (grandmother of my children Trista and Derek and the Great Grand Mother to their 15 children put together). Mama Bernice will truly be missed by us and I'm grateful that I was able to give her flowers while she LIVED!!! We love her dearly! Love ya'll Spuddy, Greg, Darnell, Donald, Janice and all the grand and great grand children ya'll have given Mama Bernice. As well as her Sister Minnie and Sister Daisy and Family. May Jehovah, Allah be pleased with our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt and Friend!
