Charles Eugene Weir
This is to the family of Chuck Weir. Your father was AMAZING! I first met Chuck at Wal-Mart, where he was working as a door greeter. I would spend time talking to him either on my way in to work or on my way out to my next stop. He told me how he was working with his girls, through social media, on Marine-equivalent fitness training. He literally lit up talking about the interaction, core training improvements and just having a special time in which to meet despite distances. I often told him I would love for my own dad to meet him. They both share a love for people and relating. He also shared with me how proud he was to see new recruits become mighty men under his guidance, discipline and instruction in the Marine core. I always lit up whenI'd see him shopping the aisles once he retired from greeting. He had a profound difference in my life. I considered him a bright spot in the times I would see him. I offer my condolences to you all. I am sure you each embody some aspect of this great man who so loved country and patriotism. You are his legacy. He appreciated each one of you. I hope as time goes on his spirit will warm your soul as you remeber him. He lived larger than life and that's the gift he gave to each person he greeted, touched and mentored. He will be greatly missed. Peace, comfort and blessing on you all.
