John Francis O'Connor, Jack, 61 of Fairfield, IA died peacefully in his home on Friday, November 5th, 2021.
He was born October 9, 1960, to John Patrick O'Connor and Jean Frances Trainor. He attended University of South Carolina and then graduated from University of Iowa with a degree in finance in 1984. He worked for Mutual of New York and Amerus Bank. He started O'Connor Financial Services in 2005. He married Crystal Wilhelm in 1996. Jack loved golf, road trips throughout the country with his kids, hiking, Ragbrai, and deep-sea fishing in South Carolina where he grew up.
His family will miss his sense of humor and his contagious laugh, sense of humor, adventurous spirit, going to football games in Iowa City and Chicago Cubs and his ability to always be a fearless leader.
Survived are his children, Shannon, Anastasia, Christian, Isabella; a granddaughter, Payton O'Connor; Brothers, Daniel, Michael, and Stephen; Nephews, Ryan, Sean, John, Joe, Mark; Aunt, Ann Waldon; and several cousins.
Preceded in death are his parents and a niece Christine O'Connor.
Services will be held at Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266) on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
