William Walter Marion

I am sorry to hear that Bill has died. I've known Bill (and Bev) as a fellow Berea College graduate since Ike and I arrived in Ames in August 1969 and were introduced to Bill and Bev by Harry and Dahlia Stockdale because they knew we were all four Berea graduates, as was then ISU President Parks. Bill wrote me a very kind letter when Ike died, and we always found things to discuss when we met in various venues in Ames over the years. I will miss knowing that I have Bill and previously Bev as well, who share that, for me, extremely important part of my educational experience, just as I missed having President Parks who shared that same background. He was a dapper dresser and one who seemed to be able to shift gears and deal with whatever came his way. I admired that about Bill. My condolences to his daughters, his grandchildren, and the other family members. Sedahlia Jasper Crase, Ames, IA
