Kenneth Louis Kiernan
We were sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. My son Brett and I worked on there house many times and enjoyed talking to them about family and there travels about. He will be missed.
So sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. He was a wonderful kind man. We so enjoyed seeing him and Marilyn at Riverside and wishing each other luck!, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. John and Marilyn O’Shea
Hello Kiernan family, Jerry and I were driving through the old neighborhood this afternoon and saw the house had been sold! After a bit of investigation we discovered this obituary. Don’t know how we missed it, but somehow we did! We are so very sorry for your loss and know he will be missed. We were back yard neighbors for 30 years and always enjoyed our numerous conversations. He was one heck of a guy and Jerry says a “good egg”! Love to you all, Jerry and Linda Renfer
I’ll miss catching up with Kenny. He welcomed me into the family with curiosity, authenticity, and refreshing conversation. With a firm handshake and a smile, he’d break the ice and we’d joke back and forth for a bit. Our go-to topic would be how bad of a season the Cubs and the Chicago Fire were having that year. And if either team was having a streak, then we wouldn’t say much about it, so as not to jinx them. It was a pleasure to have met him. Rest in peace, man.
So sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing today. My apologies for the late condolence. I missed the original write up. Kenny and my mom & dad had a special bond that lasted a life time. He was my dad’s first nephew and the grew up together. All our lives we kids knew Kenny and Marilyn and the Kiernan clan. Lots of trips were made to “See-the- rabbits” Cedar Rapids for the families to have quality time. They can to see both my folks in their last days and their visits meant so very much. I would see your parents when they made trips to the VA where I worked. Always made time to have a cup of coffee and a chat. They were one of a kind people and couple. Now they are together.
We are very sorry for your loss. Kenny and Marilyn were wonderful people. Loved meeting up with them at the casino's.Talked Cubs and kids and whose winning and losing. Our thoughts are with you all.
