I got to know Jim after my brother Harvey died & I returned to Iowa to help my mother with the farm. Jim introduced himself one day, & he recalled the first time he met my Dad shortly after he bought their home. “George stopped by to introduce himself saying he only had a few minutes. We talked for four hours”, he laughed. Jim was truly a nice guy with a great sense of humor, and he will be sorely missed.
I worked with Jim at the phone co and knew him from the retired phone gang Thursday morning breakfasts. He was always a great guy and he will be missed by all who knew him. RIP my friend.
