Melvin Lloyd Trout

So sorry to hear about Mel's passing. He was a great friend. I worked with Mel at Prairie Meadows and he always looked for the good in people and would always put a smile on your face.

I worked with Mel for a year and a half at Prairie Meadows. He was a great co-worker but an even greater friend. He was so kind he gave me a ride to and from work without taking a penny and a few times our schedule was different so he would even come in early to take me or stay late to take me home. We would sit outside and talk for an hour or so. I will miss those talks. I know he has had some bumps in the road as we all have so I certainly pray he is at peace now as he deserves it. God bless you Mel and my sincere condolences to his family. He spoke of all you often and loved to show off pics of his granddaughters. He was so happy every time he got to spend time with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you ??

My deepest Condolences to The Family and dear friends. Such a great picture of Mel shows his true spirit. As a friend who I've only known for a few years Mel was the kindest person and always caring. You and that red truck. Rest in Peace my friend, the Angels got another good one.

Mel was a dear friend of my wife and I, andnwas a great mentor for me. He always had a smile on his face, and was adamant about doing things his way, especially if he thought the other way was dumb. I'll never forget the day he showed me his medal of honor coin, and told me the story of how he got it. He was so proud to have met a medal of honor recipient. My dear friend will be forever missed and remembered. Until we meet again Top.
