Michelle Fletcher McEnany
It was with profound sadness that I heard of Michelle's passing. To say Michelle was a force of nature would be an understatement; she could command the room in whatever circumstance she was in and was always willing to listen to others' input. There may not have always been agreement but there was always a robust conversation. I had the privilege of being part of the 'team' on various aviation trips over the years, watching her be a tireless advocate for the future of aviation in Iowa and beyond. She elevated the importance of our industry and was a good friend to many. Her sense of humor and style fit in well with those of us in the airport and aviation community. We all will miss her. Rest in peace Michelle.
It's sad to read about your loss and I extend my sincere condolences to you all. May you find comfort in God's Word of promise of a "resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous" (Acts 24:15) and the "removal of death forever" (Revelations 21:3, 4). Hope that Jehovah gives your family the comfort as well as endurance you need while you all are going through this difficult time in your lives.
It was with sadness and a feeling of great loss that I heard of Michelle's passing. She was such a dynamic force that achieved positive results on almost everything she touched. The team she built at the office of aviation here in Iowa I would put up as 2nd to none to any other state. Her bubbly personality was such a great thing to see. Michelle, you will be missed by oh so many. Rest in peace and know what you transformed on this earth shall continue.
I had the personal and professional pleasure of working with Michelle while a member of the Davenport Airport Commission attending the annual meetings in Des Moines. Funny (clever), smart and very capable she was my go to "guy" for all things airport. Had the pleasure of sharing drinks after dinner with her and Tim McClung from her staff. I am saddened and shocked at her passing - aviation lost a true warrior and advocate, I have lost a friend and aviation colleague and the family has lost a very bright light. We are all better for having known this great person.
Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher- I just read the very sad news about Michelle in the Boston College alumni magazine. I am so very sorry for your loss. Just this week I shared a funny story with some of the BC girls about Michelle. She spent Thanksgiving with my family in Pennsylvania. We went out and she was ready to go home but I wanted to stay out so she drove home ...except when I got home she wasn’t there! At about four in the morning she called the house from about 45 minutes away - lost. My father told her not to move and he went and got her. She was horrified that when he got there he just motioned to her to follow him. She wanted to get out of the car and have a big hug to celebrate being saved. What a fun, bright character she was.
A beautiful flame tree has fallen in the forest, leaving a space that nature can’t fill. Soon sunlight will shine into that space, warming it , bringing memories of one of God’s most marvelous creations. Love from Tge Snelsons. Australia.
