I went to school with Mary and went "steady" with him for a short time in elementary school. We remained friends throughout school and after graduating. I haven't seen him much for the past several years but always think of him fondly. He will be greatly missed by all. My condolences to his family and close friends. R.I.P. my friend.
Marty was always around growing up. He was close to my (step-dad) brian and my mom Denise. He was very wise and always kind hearted. He could always bring a good laugh and smile to someone in need. I miss you already Marty. Give my uncle jeff a good pat on the back when you get there i know you two will hit it off greatly!
I grew up a few blocks away from Marty when I was younger. He was a good friend, very talented artist and had a love of music. He will be missed. I wish to extend my sympathy for his brothers Mike and Marshall and all of his nieces and nephews. Rest in Peace Marty. David Denlinger
Marty was a good neighbor. Always smiled and greeted me and offering to help this old lady. I have known Marty for over twenty years. His music was great, even if it was a little too loud sometimes! God bless you Marty! Condolences to Mike, Jodi & Linda and the rest of the family and friends.
Marty was one of the first people I met when I moved to Cedar Rapids in 1991. Always willing to help out and play a tune. I'm going to miss you Marty rock on my friend see you on the flip side.
