Martin John Dahl, 58 of Cedar Rapids died Friday June 22, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. There will be a Celebration of Life Service held a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael (Jodi) and Marshal (Janis), all of Cedar Rapids; a half-sister Betsy Ward of Lake City Florida; and a special friend Linda Hazewinkel of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Ann.
Martin was born on January 1, 1960 in Waterloo the son of Lanford and Virginia Rodgers Dahl. He was employed by a local manufacturer in their janitorial department.
Martin was a gifted artist and excelled in both drawing and painting. He enjoyed all types of music and playing his guitar. He was a fun loving guy who would do anything for his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established.
