Daniel Bruce Appleby

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. How devastating this must be, but we can rejoice in our hearts that we will meet him again someday in Heaven! He will be there waiting for us!! Thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of sorrow for your loss, but rejoicing that Dan is now with his Savior. God bless!!

I first met Dan as I student-taught in Monticello in fall of 1976. He was an exceptional student and person...just the nicest young man anyone could ever meet. I later discovered where he received many of those blessings, from his folks, Don & Phyllis. My deepest sympathy to family and friends...

I remember attending a Bible Study at the Appleby's house. I remember Dan being a genuinely kind family man. He smiled a lot. He was very hospitable to me when I attended the young adult Bible Study at New Covenant. This is a good example of how unfair life really is. A good, kind family man who passed far before when it was time. I'm glad I got to know him. I believe that he is in a better place today. Thinking and praying for his loved ones.

Dan and I were classmates at Sacred Heart in Monticello when our family moved there in 1967. I've always had fond memories of him and his siblings. They were a very nice family. Dan was exceptionally bright and a terrific athlete. I remember in second grade that he had the most beautiful penmanship I had ever seen. I'm saddened by the fact that I didn't stay in touch with him after high school. I still remember his intentions at Mass in the morning. Requiescat in pace, Dan. You were a good man.

Lifting the family up in prayer. Thanking Jesus for the gift of eternal life and that Dan is with his Lord and no longer suffering. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I am so sorry for the suffering Dan went through in his last days. I am thankful along with you that he is no longer suffering. I know you will miss him dearly. I pray you will have the courage to grieve fully through your loss and become stronger as you heal. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ carry you through. We will miss the gentle radiant Spirit that shone through Dan. God Bless you all..
