Daniel Bruce Appleby
Daniel Bruce Appleby, 58, of Cedar Rapids joined his Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, November 16th, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 3rd at 1pm at New Covenant Bible Church with light refreshments to follow.
Dan was born on June 4th, 1958, the son of Donald and Phyllis Appleby of Monticello, Iowa.
Left to cherish Dan’s memories are the love of his life and wife of 32 years Theresa, his son Nick (Erin) Appleby, his grandson Dominic, his daughter Christine (Chris) Brown, his parents Don and Phyllis Appleby, his brother Tom (Sue) Appleby, and his three sisters Kymm Appleby, Luann (Pat) Brown, and Terri (Terry) Pizinger.
Dan loved teaching Bible studies, studying Scripture, mentoring young adults, going on cruises, watching BBC programming, studying history, reading, dancing, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Green Bay Packers, but most of all Dan loved his family and his Savior.
A memorial scholarship/service award fund has been established in Dan’s honor. Should friends and family desire, contributions to this fund may be payable to: Daniel Appleby Memorial.
