Lowry C. Fredrickson, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Lowry Clifford Fredrickson was born on March 1, 1932 to Clifford and Mable Carlson Fredrickson in Meriden, Iowa. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Lowry was united in marriage to Mary Beek on August 12, 1960 in George, Iowa. She preceded him in death in December 2013. He worked at Coe College for over 33 years as a professor.
He is survived by his daughter, Lara Fredrickson of Washington, DC; brother, Curtis (Diane) Fredrickson of Eagan, MN; brother-in-law, Karl Lind of Albert City; and many nieces and nephews.
Lowry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents; and sister, Mary Lind.
