Michael D. Johnson, 62, of Cedar Rapids died Monday January 4, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Per Michael’s request there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Pearl, many friends and his cocker spaniel, Lydia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike was born on September 2, 1953 in Cedar Rapids the son of Keith and Della Dlouhy Johnson. He married Pearl J. Bean on September 3, 1983 in Cedar Rapids.
Mike worked at Quaker Oats and retired from there after 42 years of service. He enjoyed target practice, 50 and 60s movies and music, dancing, riding motorcycles, fast cars and proudly serviced in the Army 129th Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam.
Mike was a wonderful husband, son and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
