John "Bud" Currie
It was great seeing Mr. Currie & Bev at our 50 year class reunion just 2 years ago. I remember talking with him & I must have called him by the wrong name as he asked me what his name was. I went thru several including Mr. Currie & coach , never getting it right. It was a little embarrassing but as usual we ended up having a good laugh. My sincere condolences to Bev, family & friends. He will be remembered as a great teacher & coach, but most important as a great leader and person. God bless Terry Bitting
He was such a great influence in our high school years. I (Kathy) took some classes from him and he had such a great dry humor and smile while he watched us learning how to type, take shorthand, and on and on. Another great memory was when I (Kathy) went back to CJ and my mom was trying to teach me one morning how to golf for the first time. I probably tried to hit that ball 20 times and couldn't get if off the tee. Finally I heard this voice (Mr. Currie) yell out, "Way to go Kath!" I pretty much lost it after dying laughing with embarrassment. He was our rock through high school and we thank him for that! He will be missed by so many of us.
I can see " Mr. Currie " flashing that great smile and giving you the eye up in heaven. He will be greatly missed and we send our condolenses to his entire family, will see you Thursday
This may be a repeat as I tried to send our sympathy to you all and it did not go through for some reason. We just loved Mr. Curry in his initial years at CJ High School and he was so influential to both of us. We will be thinking of all you as he was a very great educator.
My deepest sympathy to Bev and the kids. Mr. Currie was a very positive influence in my life. Judy Hawkins Larson
