Clarence Wright

Great picture of Clarence, "Mr. C", with his ever present smile. He was always interested in what was going on with his kids and with us, their friends. Upbeat, enthusiastic and excited about his products, he was the consumate salesman and a great example of his profession.

Kris and family, my heartfelt condolences to you, Barb and your brothers. I remember going over to the house after Regis football games talking for hours about the game and Clarence telling me what a nice game i played and giving me pointers as to what i could improve on. :) He was also the one who got me hooked on the Cubs. He was a wonderful father, friend and will be truly missed. God Bless.

Barb and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Clarence was a unique and wonderful man. When I was working on the Westdale business for KCRG, I was a little scared of him at first. He had a gruff exterior. But it didn't take long to figure out that he was a big teddy bear inside, and that the thin, tough exterior was just his way of protecting himself from being taken advantage of in business. He was truly one of my very favorite clients/people ever. He will be missed by many people, me included. Remember the good times with him in the hard days ahead. Mike Wyrick

Barb, Jon, Mike, Kris, and Jim, So sorry to hear about Clarence. I have so many good memories while growing up and visiting at your house. Clarence’s humor was so inviting, and I loved the way he joked around with all of us. In one’s lifetime, you meet a lot of people but, only very few stand out as exceptional, and Clarence was exceptional and definitely a good man! I’ll always remember him in my heart! Go Cubs!

Barb and Family, My condolences go out to all of you. I was so shocked when I saw the obituary. I remember growing up with all of you. I remember my sister and I walking to Noelridge Pool with Kris when my mom (Barb Lawson) would come visit. I particularly remember Art Mart and how much you both enjoyed that store. Even though I have not seen you guys in the past years, I think of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Elissa Kaas (Lawson) and Elizabeth

Dear Wright Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow. After 44 years, I feel like I too have lost a family member. I will not forget all of the GREAT times had at the Wright household. I consider myself very fortunate to have known Clarence and will miss his smile and witty sense of humor. As always, if there is anything I can do, all you have to do is call.

I was very saddened to read in the paper this morning that Clarence had passed away. I have always considered he and Barb as friends. We all battled the retail business for many years and I always enjoyed walking "upstairs" at Westdale Mall to visit. Remember a dinner at The Vernon Inn. Remember he visiting in my store even after he retired...it was always nice to see him. You are all in my prayers...May peace be with you. Bob
