Raymond Roland

I'm so sorry to hear that Ray has passed. I saw him almost 5 years ago at my own brothers service. Ray was a great story teller and if I wanted to go riding, he'd always have a horse to lend me. He was one of the nicest and kindest cowboys I have ever had the pleasure to know . I've known him for over 50 years. He will be missed. Happy trails Ray.

Wow, this obituary hit hard. Ray is the last of the original members of the Fairfield Saddle Club that I knew, following folks like Perk Lamm, Jack Carlson, Grandma and Roy Tygert, Harold Smith and the others who went on trail rides and were wonderful mentors to me. It has been years since I last visited him at his home near where Cy Nyles and the Roland ladies lived. To his family my most sincere condolences. Ray was part of some of the best memories I have of Fairfield and well remembered. Ron Bates Udonthani, Thailand
