We were so surprised to see the passing of your mother in today's paper. We forget that life must end and change happens. You are so lucky to have enjoyed her for so many years, but we know the loss of a mother leaves a void in your life that will not be overcome. You have our deepest sympathy and hope you will be able to keep many happy memories in your mind and heart. Ken and Sally Stejskal
Jaynann- so sorry to hear about your mother. I know you will miss her immensely! Thank God for all the years you had her. Keep those memories close to your heart and your mom will always be with you! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Laura
Dear Jaynann and Helene: I can't begin to tell you how many times over the years I have thought of your mother. Just the other day I did a search for her name and now today I saw the notice in the Gazette online. First, I am sending my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you both in the loss of your dear mother. When she and my mother Ida worked together, I got to spend many nights helping them over on Edgewood Rd. and got to experience your mother's great sense of humor first hand. My mother used to get so mad that Elsie would take so long trying to get the tobacco stains off of the glass ashtrays. Funny how I remember that after all these years. But they remained close friends even after retirement. Ida has been gone since 1991. And my twin brother Larry since 2013. I have been in Tennessee for almost 13 years, working at the University of Tennessee. Please know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the next few days. May you find comfort in your memories and God's loving grace. Debbie Palmer Butenko
Hello Helene, My condolences. Lovely write up about your Mom - she certainly saw and did much during her lifetime. When my Mom died a friend told me that your Mom's words and voice are always with you. I think that is correct. My best to you and your family. Mary McCarthy (Zone 71 days)
