Arthur S. Elliott Sr.

So sorry for your loss. Arthur/Buddy would be my 2nd cousin. My grandfather, John Elliott was Arthur/Buddy S Elliott Sr's brother. I grew up listening to fond stories that my mother, Joan, told of her Elliott Aunts & Uncles. She was very fond of & proud of her Uncle Buddy who served in the Red Bull Division with her father John during the war. I had a part time job @ Hy-Vee Drug Store & talked to Arthur/Buddy all the time. It was nice to have another connection to my Elliott side of the family. It was about 8 years ago that Buddy & I meet there. We'd just have short conversations as when you're working you can't talk too long. When I 1st started working there he was working the night shift so I saw him several times a week. Later on he got a different job & din't see him as much. He was a very nice customer & I enjoyed our talks together. May you all keep the good times you all had with Arthur/Buddy Jr close in your heart, and with time I hope your heavy hearts will lift and mend.

Extending our sympathy to the family of Arthur in his passing. I am the youngest of the 3 J's from John and Emma Elliott family, born 01/15/1940 close to his age. I mailed him a manilla folder with newspapers clippings and pictures my Mother had kept that concerned his Dad and Mom during the war years and sent some to his sister also when she worked at Econo Foods on the west side of cedar rapids. Sorry to read about his passing and prayers to the family. Janice Carson
