Janet Lee Parker

I worked with Jan at University Hospital and she lived close by in my neighborhood. I kept in contact after her stroke when she moved. She was fun to work with and be around. She will be missed. Condolences from the nurses at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

I am sorry for your loss, I was a "floor mate" of Jan's at Mt Mercy College, Regina Hall 6th floor. I can't remember the room # but can see it in my mind. Jan was ahead of me in classes, she was a great person, always laughing, having a great time and of course worried that she would flunk her nursing classes and never pass her boards .I have a lot memories of the evening "gab" sessions and just "hanging" in the rooms. We needed to be careful of the candles, they were not allowed, Jan had to keep the curtains pulled if one was lit, their room looked over the convent. I remember her coaching one of her friends at the lunch table one day. I don't know if she ever spoke of Lynn Hernandez, but Lynn was very slender and she would be worried and lose weight before every test. Jan was trying to help her maintain her weight as we headed towards finals. Encouraging her to chew less and eat faster. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Becky
