James Dixon

So glad I got to know Jim the way I did. He was always good to talk with and friendly. I appreciated his kind presence and love for the Lord. He will be missed. My sympathies to the family. May God bless you.

Isaiah 55:8-9 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 8 The Lord says: “My thoughts and my ways are not like yours. 9 Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, my thoughts and my ways are higher than yours. Because of God's Word, I trust that His way is the right way. Consequently, I know that he took Jim home at just the right time. And, the following is something all of us in Christ, have to look forward to: 2 Corinthians 5:8-9 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 8 We should be cheerful, because we would rather leave these bodies and be at home with the Lord. 9 But whether we are at home with the Lord or away from him, we still try our best to please him.

James Ezekiel Dixon, Our “Jim” Written by, Rev. Theresa A. Shackelford, the “Big Sister” John 11:25 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 25 Jesus then said, “I am the one who raises the dead to life! Everyone who has faith in me will live, even if they die. John 5:24 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 24 I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned. They have already gone from death to life. John 3:16 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 16 God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. All praises belong to God, for the life of James Ezekiel Dixon, better known as “Jim”. I was honored to be his “Big Sister,” the eldest of his sisters and brother; Bill (Richard William Dixon), Free (Alfreda LuVerne Dixon), and Ree (Rev. Theresa Annette (Dixon) Shackelford). And, we the children of, Mom (Elder Eliza Ann Dixon) and Dad (Richard James Dixon) were blessed to have parents that love the Lord, and raised us to love Jesus as our Savior and accept him, by publicly claiming Him before a body of believers, and being Baptized as was Jesus our Lord. My immediate family is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit, for this reason, we know that we are together now, and will be always, as we meet up in Glory when we leave this earth. God the Father has put this family together, so we know, “Jim” has gone home to be welcomed by our father, Dicky-Boy (Richard James Dixon), our uncle Bubba (Ezekiel Dabney), Mom’s Brother, Auntie Bernice (Bernice Booker), Dad’s Sister, and a multitude of others in our family that have gone home to glory. “Jim” was not alone here on earth, and he is not alone now in heaven, because he is a child of God, which comes with the precious reward of being in the Body of Christ, eternally.
