Esther Ann Wienhold
Esther Ann Wienhold, 88, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home surrounded by family.
Esther was a school teacher for 47 years starting in a one room school. She taught in Brandon, Independence and retired in 1987 from Jesup Community Schools.
She was united in marriage to Leo Wienhold on May 21, 1945. They were married for 68 years.
Esther is survived by her husband Leo, daughters Kathy Nilges (Delmar), Patricia Powell, Jean Stoddard (Brad), Toni Murphy (Dan), Teri Sanger (Ed), son Ted Wienhold (Billie Jo) and daughter-in-law Mary Wienhold; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Wilhelmina Tuttle, 3 sisters, 1 brother and a son, Trevor.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Esther''s life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 1-3 pm at the Farmer''s State Bank Community Room, Jesup, Iowa. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cedar Valley Hospice.
