Howard E. Lemke
I remember Howard from school days and especially musical events that our teacher, Mr. Stiffler put on for not only our community but also a neighboring town of Tripoli. Howard was musical, playing the saxophone. He had a crush on my older sister as did other boys in Frederika. Howard went into the Air Force and was stationed in Santa Ana. I remember him working at his parents store in Frederika, his marriage to Lorraine. Didn't see him again until the school had an "All School Reunion" in the late 1990's and he was there as friendly as ever. Sorry to hear of his passing, may he be reunited with those he loves.
Al and Judy, We were so saddened to hear about Howard. There are so many memories for dad and myself of the many years living next door to Howard and Lorraine as neighbors. There could have been no better neighbors than them. Please accept our sympathy in this difficult time. Richard Kesl, Carol Kesl and Kayla Kesl
Al, Judy and I are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed visiting your folks or seeing them at sporting events. Lorraine knew just how to treat us boys--food and laughs. One of my memories of Howard was when my dad and him were talking basketball to us 16 yr old pups. i believe Howard said they practiced in winter boots to get their footwork down? The videos Howard took were both fun and interesting--sometimes when things got exciting the focus was the gym ceiling. I also owed Howard a big thanks for the '64 VW bug that I used from 1968-1980. Unfortunately, the floor rusted out! Thanks to your dad for his WWII service! God Bless you and your family, Jeff & Judy
We are saddened to hear of your father's passing, especially in the situation with your mother. We have the happy memories of them visiting Two Rivers a couple of times during the run of Coho Salmon in late September of the year. Also I vividly remember Howard explaining to me how Bob (Keavy) and his crew were killed during training and how dangerous that was in those days. Renee and I will keep both of them and you in our hearts and prayers. Bob
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jeff sent us the information about your Dad. God bless, Mike and Jean
Our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Wishing you peace to bring comfort and courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Al and Judy, I was so sorry to read about Howard's passing. I remember his smile and friendliness. He lived a good life. Hope all is well. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. Gretchen
