Betty Louise Crouse

 

Betty L. Crouse, 78, of Cedar Rapids lost her battle with ALS “Lou Gehrig’s” disease on December 7, 2013 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Betty graduated from Oelwein High School in June 1953 and married Lyle Crouse in August of 1953.  Lyle and Betty resided and raised their family in Cedar Rapids.

Betty relocated to Houston, TX in 1980 and returned home in 2012.

Betty is survived by her brothers; Benjamin Crooks of Marshalltown and George Uchytil (Rosalyn) of Jesup, a sister Lola (Fred) Renner of Marshalltown, her children; Randy (Rhonda) Crouse and Karen Pierce all of Cedar Rapids.  Also surviving are grandchildren; Rachelle Salem of Denver, CO, Brooke (Steve) Wulfekuhle of Cedar Rapids, Steve Hall of North Liberty, Tasha (Doug), Tonia, and Calvin Pierce all of Cedar Rapids, and six wonderful great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sharon Crouse.

A Private Prayer Service and Celebration of Life with the immediate family will be held on December 11th.

In lieu of flowers all memorial contributions will be donated to Unity Point Hospice.
