James R. Elliott
Jim was a good friend. We were in the service together. I have many good memories of Jim. You have my families sympathy for your loss. He will be missed.
Becky and Macaulay, I am sorry for your loss. Your dad and grandfather sounded like quite a man. God bless you both for taking care of him.
JIM, rest in peace, buddy. we'll all miss you but you've moved on to a better place. I so much enjoyed our meetings in the street between our homes, whether car-talk, sharing news, or solving the worlds problems. you watched over my things when I would travel. offered a hand when car issues would surface. thanks for the memories. they are pleasant ones. Les Schaefer
my deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the family.I will miss Jim very much.He was a very dear friend and we had a lot of good times together.
I grew up thinking you were the guy who could fix anything. At least that's what my dad thought. If there was something he wasn't sure how to fix he'd say that you would know and it always seemed like you did. I learned a lot from you both. I don't think dad would have come to Cedar Rapids if you hadn't led the way.
Our Family has known Jim Elliott for many, many years and always enjoyed his Friendship. If we ever needed a helping hand and Jim was available, the job would get done. Many times when Jim would drive by our Home and see my car in the driveway, He would stop in, I'd grab a couple lawn chairs, and we'd sit in the back yard and visit about anything that came to mind. We might even enjoy a couple cool ones while we talked. Some how, Marian, the Kids and Grand Kids would enter in the conversation and Jim always had a good word for all of you and proud of what you were doing. You have lost the Best Friend you'll ever have. Jim would give you his last $2.00 , if he thought you needed it worse then he did. His suffering days are now over, May He Rest In Peace... Mike Kelly
