Linda May Curtis
Linda's easy going, fun loving attitude was infectious to all who knew her. I got to know Linda well when she opened the Arlington Wildflower and I stopped into her shop often. She had great ideas and she was very talented. A funny memory that I have is from Mia's Benefit. I started out in the food line serving up the meat while Linda passed me the buns. She made the statement, "I get to touch everyone's buns today." So witty and funny! She will be missed!
I didn't get to be good friends with Linda until my senior year. But that year was full of laughter and good times. She was alway the one with a laugh and a joke and a good time! My most memorable time I spent with Linda is when we used Mike's car to skip class and go Christmas shopping in Cedar Rapids. It was an icy day and we had no business on the roads at all. But that wasn't going to keep us at school. We'd be back before the bus would leave to take Linda home and I would walk home from Lamont school. Seemed like a pretty simple plan. It was until I passed a tractor, lost control and ended up backwards in a snow filled ditch! The whole time Linda just laughed and when we went in she yelled "Hang on to your Peter" To make a long story short we still went Christmas shopping and then got lost and Linda missed her bus and Mike was furious with us! Then our parents & the school. Although we got in a lot of trouble we made it and had a great time. This was just a typicial day with Linda Curtis!!! It's the way she lived her life and I'll bet it's the way she ended her life too. She always kept a positive attitude and rolled with the punches. She has a lot of friends and family there to greet her and I think Mike Harvey might just be waiting for her to have someome to laugh with like old times. \My sympathies to all of Linda's freinds and family. You will miss her and she will miss you but she has moved on and she is without her pain. And I'll bet she is laughing again. Farewell Linda & we all will meet again someday.
I was only related to Linda for a short time; but in that time; I really enjoyed her sense of humor & her ability to tell you how it is with no holding back. She will be missed & our thoughts are with the family at these saddened times. Terry & Miriam
I remember Linda as always laughing. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. Lnda was always very nice and fun to be around. I am sure she will be missed very much.
I was subjected to Linda at a young age due to her friendship with my mother. Boy did they ever have fun I am sure that my mom was there to greet Linda & they are sitting at the kitchen table making up their own lyrics to whatever songs are playing... They undoubtedly are sharing a microphone & singing at the top of their lungs. My mother loved Lindas sense of humor they were quite the witty pair. After my mother passed I kept in touch with Linda & found great comfort in reminiscing with her. She was an awesome lady & will be greatly missed...but she is in great company sitting at the kitchen table with my mom...
We will remember Linda for her smile. Always a fun person to be around. Harold enjoyed planning the family reunion with her several years ago. We will be thinking of all of you today.
Glenn, Connie and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Let your memories comfort you.
Linda was the pillar of strength in our Happy Hooters group. She was always happy and full of fun and antics. She will be sorely missed by all. She was a great friend and person who was always very down to earth about everything. Loved her dearly.
We will remember Linda for the love of her family and enjoying life to the fullest. And she did. Greatly missed.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Linda and alot of her family. They have always had a strong sense of family and loyalty. May the family remember the fun times, the Halloween parties, the New years parties, the girls camping, the laughter and the joys. May you always remember her love of making things grow.
