Maybelle Mays was my second mother. She was a gem of a person and took care of me when I was a little boy. I loved her cooking, her children, and her personality. Maybelle was exceedingly kind and fun to be with. She enjoyed contemporary music and had a keen sense of humor. I'll never forget Maybelle, her children, and how much I enjoyed being with her in my childhood. She was generous in giving love, forgiveness and kindness.
