Carol A. Ridenour
My Beloved Aunt- who taught me how to dance to rock and roll, who ssaved my brother from the bull by grabbing him out of the bullpen, who let me lay on her bed and read True Romance, who was like a big sister to me, and always loved me. I remember watching her dress for several proms and how I loved those dresses. She was always kind and caring and loving. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Steve, Jody and the rest of the family. We are so very sorry for your loss. Carol was such a sweet lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time. Take peace in knowing that she is in a beautiful place. Greg and Lisa Cooley

The Ridenour family, I am so saddened to hear of Carol's passing! I enjoyed our monthly visits for 25 years! I feel a loss of her friendship and I felt like part of her family. I was Carol's hairstylist for 25 years and shared in all of her cherished stories of her family, friends and faith. I will miss her smiling face and kind words. What a wonderful lady.....what a wonderful life she had!! You are in my prayers, Kris Hartley
Our deepest sympathies to you all on the loss of your Mom. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. Please let us know if there is anything you need.
I've been lucky enough to have known Carol for 74 years. We played dolls together as little girls, dressed up in her mother's gowns and furs, worked as a team trying to catch Ellen's old horse in the far pasture, went to church camp at Clear Lake, marched in the Plainfield High School band at parades and festivals. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding to Pete and was among the relatives gathered around the kitchen phone on the Christmas night Larry was born. Carol was one of the kindest, most patient and giving people I've ever known. Her love for her husband, sons and grandkids was something to see I will miss her so very much.
Larry, sorry for your loss, will be thinking of you in the days ahead.
Carol was my closest cousin in age (10 mos.) and distance (I lived east of Plainfield and she lived west). Our mothers were sisters, and together we played with dolls as little girls, spent hours playing dress-up or walking the pasture trying to catch Ellen's old horse, attended Methodist church camp in Clear Lake, marched in band festivals and parades with the PHS band and attended proms. She was generous and kind - it was her gown that I wore to the 1955 football homecoming. I was a bridesmaid in her 1956 wedding to Pete Grekoff and remember the Christmas night Larry was born. Carol was a wonderful mother and wife and a gentle, patient soul. She and Dick had a marriage that anyone would envy, with the kind of deep connection, love and devotion rarely seen. RIP dear cousin. You will be forever missed by all of us who loved you and hold your memory so dear.
Carol had a certain air about her @ St. Pauls during my tenure working there that was so unbreakable. She never seemed o get rattled about anything. I always knew she could be counted on for support and kindness. I miss her & am a better person having known her. Bill
