Marianne Teresa Malinowski

Marianne Teresa Malinowski died April 14 at her home in Ames. She was born in Chicago December 30, 1956, the daughter of Joseph and Lottie Malinowski. Her husband Gary Eller and two stepchildren, Serena and John, survive her. Marianne worked as a librarian and was well known by colleagues throughout the state. In May she and Gary would have celebrated the 25th anniversary of their wedding by the sea in Kodiak, Alaska. Marianne was a prodigious reader. She loved animals including the five cats she leaves behind. She was also a skilled cross-stitcher, an enthusiastic bicycle rider, a master gardener, a visitor to many countries and a generous and loving spirit. Her ashes will be interred near the family summer home on Lake Upsilon in North Dakota. Memorials should be directed to the animal shelter of one''s choice. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at Inis Grove Park (Shagbark shelter) in Ames on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:30 p.m.
