Roger & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts & prayers. May God see you through this hard time.
I am so sorry to hear about Kathy. She always had a smile on her face and a sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all. May God give you all the strength to get thru this difficult time. Don and Linnet Wainwright
The world has lost an amazing person and a shining example of courage. Anyone who knew Kathy was better for having known her. My thoughts and prayers to Roger and to all of Kathy's family. Becky
We were next door neighbors to her on Parkington sometime in the early 1990's and we thought she was just the sweetest person. Our kids loved her dogs and she always had a big smile and caring attitude. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers. The heavens have gained another wonderful angel.
I will always remember Kathys Love for Life and her infectious Laughter. In deepest Sympathy Patty and John
To the Schreiber and Slycord families: I met Kathy at the University of Iowa while enrolled in a nutrition/cooking class. Kathy was the top cooking student and I was the worst student. She befriended me and somehow I made it through that course. Kathy was such fun and very intelligent. Her range of interests were very broad and she was fearless in pursuing her goals. I have so many memories and stories of Kathy but could not possibly include them in this short space. I know everyone will miss her generous spirit and infectious laughter as well as the phenomenal singing talent. My sympathies to all your family members.
My heartfelt condolences to all of the family. May you find comfort knowing that Kathy is singing with the angels now.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Lou Eichler
Our entire family participated in the cholesterol and heart study for many years, and Kathy was our "constant" throughout. We came to know each other pretty well, and enjoyed visits when she would come to the house to put on monitors, etc. Loved talking animals, music, and good food/wine with her. I haven't seen her in years and didn't know she was ill. I know she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our family sends condolences.
Being a nursing student, Kat was one of my first patients...I will always remember how loving and caring she was for everyone and everything...what a beautiful woman.
I took my son to the "heart study" where Kathleen was famous for "cheerleading" while he and all the others rode the bike. She was always fun and positive and our memories of that study would be boring if it weren't for her. I saw her a couple times afterwards and know she was not in good health. Her attitude was always so inspiring. I will tell my son of her death. We are sorry for your loss.
Kathy's family wishes to thank you all for your heartfelt condolences and inform you that a date has been set for her Celebration of Life! When: Saturday, March 13th, 2010 What Time: 2pm to 3pm a Celebratory Service will be held, Followed by Dinner and Fellowship. Where: The American Legion 300 N. Devoe Street Lone Tree, Iowa All are welcome.
A rose may lose its bloom, but still the fragrance lingers long. A bird may fly away, yet you can still recall its song. So, when someone you love departs to join the Lord above, She'll live and laugh and be with us in our memories of love. Remembering Kathleen will love...
Jim and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I always enjoyed seeing her and sharing some gossip. My thoughts are with you.
Having been a participant in The Muscatine Heart Study from the begining I came to know Kathy and looked forward to my visits with her in the Muscatine Office. The world has lost a wonderful, caring woman and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Roger,I fondly remember you and "Mary,Mary",generously taking a bunch of us roudy Hy-Veers to an awards banquet in your motorhome. We laughed all the way down and back. Kathleen's sharp wit and beautiful smile will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was an awesome person and a great singer! Just remember she is watching down on all of you.
To: Roger and the Slycord families, and to all of the Schreiber families, I am very sorry I'll not be able to attend Kathy's memorial service as I'll be out of state, but I want to say a few things here: I cried when I heard of her passing--Kathy was a wonderful friend and talent, and long ago, for many years, we performed together, making up mad skits of musical comedy and performing in various places. Kathy had many gifts beyond her beautiful voice, as you all know. Top among these was her amazing sense of humor and comic timing. I loved working with her all through our high school and college years and a bit beyond. I will always cherish the wonderful times we had together, and I truly believe Kathy brought love and smiles to everyone she met. She could make her songs bring laughter, but at other times--and effortlessly--her voice could move people to goose bumps, and even tears. She generously shared this and many other gifts with others and I think will be unforgettable to an amazing number of people. God blessed her with talent, personality, and amazing strength. And God blessed us all by letting us spend time with her before she was called home. Alan Swanson
Roger, Lori and I were sad to hear of Kathleens' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have been blessed to be able to keep in touch with "Mary, Mary" throughout the years through the Muscatine Heart Study. Her humor and laughter was always enough to brighten your day no matter how bad it was. She will truly be missed. God Bless.
I will always remember Kathys Love for Life and her infectious Laughter. In deepest Sympathy Patty and John
Uncle Roger - we are so very sorry for Aunt Kathy's passing. Our family was so blessed to have her in it. We know that the heavens are a much happier place with her there. We love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Roger & family: So sorry for your loss. What we will all miss; her extreme talent, smarts, wit, and deep appreciation for her fellow person will be added to all the other angels that have gone before. She was one of the hardest working and devoted women that I've eever known. Roger, you are one of my best friends and we share your loss and are thinking of you and family in this difficult time. May God Bless.
Roger and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Kathy, was always pushing for helping others. She took any situation head on and made a negative a positive. I enjoyed working with her @ The Risk Factor and trying to harmonize with her when we'd sing. I'll always remember her special treats at Christmas. And her sharing her vacation fun she'd have with Roger and her pets. She would share her love for the Heavenly Father and you would always see the glow in her eyes of happiness. All of you will be in our Prayers.
My condolences in the passing of a great person, Randy
