I just wanted to express my deep sympathy on Joan's passing. I feel honored that I was able to meet Joan, even if it was only once. She was such a sweet woman and will always be remembered.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed working with Joan for lots of years at the Birth Care Center at St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids. We all wondered what became of her. She was a very hard worker and loved the babies like they were her own. She could work fast and still do a good job. Joan's head nurse was Charlene Allely and she passed away earlier this year.
