Beverly A. Motto

Beverly ''Bev'' Motto, 76, of Clear Lake died Wednesday afternoon May 21, 2008 in her home. Bev was born December 24, 1931, in Lincoln, NE to Laurence and Violet (Carlson) Luther. She attended schools in Lincoln and Omaha, NE. Bev married Harold Gamerl in Omaha in 1952 and they had one son Bruce. She later married Frank Motto and moved to Clear Lake, IA. Bev was an avid dog lover, especially Pekingese, and showed them in AKC shows. She was a member of the Albert Lea Kennel Club and the North Central Illinois Pekingese Club. Her great grandson Dustin Gamerl also belonged to the same dog clubs as Bev, so this made her hobby especially enjoyable. Another hobby Bev dabbled in was oil painting and at one time even served as Treasurer for the Iowa Artists League. She had a flair for cooking special dinners and loved inviting friends over. Bev leaves behind her loving husband Frank, son Bruce (Jody) Gamerl, four Granddaughters Heather (Paul) Wubben, Dayle Gamerl, Dusty (Josh) Johnson, and Kelly (Stan) Lewis. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren.
