Mark Thomas Jones
Josh, Nicole, Stacie and Luke- I am sorry to hear about your father. I am sorry that I can't make it there on Saturday but you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am here if you need someone to talk to. Just remember that God would never give you more than you can handle. Many hugs to each of you! Love, Serena, Ray and Hayden
Josh, Nicole, Stacie, Luke and little Jonetta, Although I have been out of the family, physically, for almost 8 years, all of you have remained in my heart. My heartfelt sympathy goes to all of you in your time of loss. Remember the good times. I lost my dad over 20 years ago, and not a day goes by that I dont think about him and miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, always... Love, Aunt Terry
My sincerest condolences to the children and family of Mark. I worked for over 10 years with Mark at Collins, and can attest to the fact that he was one of the very brightest people I have ever known in the field of electronics. He taught countless peolple, including myself, very much about many aspects of electronics, engineering, computers, and programming, which came to him so easily. His many contributions to Collins would be impossible to count. Far beyond these, were his contributions as a friend. He was a person who was always ready and willing to help. Whether guiding at work, lending a hand to move, sharing a story or a laugh, or always striving for the best for his (then quite young) children and home, he always had my admiration and respect. His friendship, kindness, and helping hand will always be remembered. May God smile on and accept Mark into His kingdom.
Mark was a fellow Co-worker with me at Collins, when I first started to work there, Mark was very helpful in showing me the ropes on how to do certain tests. We became friends because we had mutual intrest, electronics, computers, and RF. Mark attended the TI-99 users group, as well as Bruce W. and myself there we got together traded programs and small talk. Mark tried his hand at writing some assembly code, managed to write a game program that worked very well. When I think of Mark, I always have good memories of him, and I feel blessed for having known him.
We were sorry to hear about Mark's passing. Mark and I were in the same electronics class in North Mankato and we worked together for several years at Rockwell in Cedar Rapids. I had the honor of being the best man at his wedding. We had not seen Mark as much in recent years, but on those occasions when we did, we enjoyed catching up with him. We are sorry that we cannot attend the Memorial Service on Saturday but we will be thinking of him. Our love and prayers go out to his family during their time of grief.
