Mark Thomas Jones (Yenter), 50, of Marion, IA, died unexpectedly at his home April 24, 2008. Memorial Services for Mark will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 3 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, MN with the Reverend Peter Nosbush officiating. Mark was born October 1, 1957 at 97th General Army Hospital, in Frankfurt, Germany, son of Tom and Myrna (Michels) Yenter. At the age of 10 months, with his parents, he returned to Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato East High in 1976. In 1978, he graduated at the top of his class from Vocational Technical College, specializing in electronics. He was then employed by Rockwell International, Collins Avionic Communication Division as a Senior Technician in Cedar Rapids, IA. Mark married and later divorced Jonetta (Brown) Yenter in Cedar Rapids, IA. There were 4 children of this union. Mark was avid in scouting, earning his Eagle Scout. He was an electronics fanatic, enjoyed collecting antiques, carving detailed wood designs, conversing with the people he met, and had special love and dedication for his children and granddaughter. His is survived by four children: Joshua (Kari) Yenter from Cedar Rapids, Nicole Yenter and her daughter Jonetta Rose from Cedar Rapids, Stacie Yenter of Japan, and Lucas Yenter from Cedar Rapids, IA and Patti Lynch , significant other, of Marion, IA. He has three brothers, Curtis Yenter of Mankato, MN, Brian (Rachel) Yenter of Wabasha, MN, Wayne Yenter of Duluth, MN, and a sister, Suzanne Yenter and her children Kaitlyn and Samantha of Stewartville, MN. He is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. His grandparents preceded him in death.
