Howard R. Pendleton

Howard Pendleton, 70 of 736 Home Acres, Evansdale, IA died with his family and loving cat Mr. Tee by his side. He will be cremated, as per his wishes, by The Cremation Society of Eastern - Central - Western Iowa, followed by an informal service to celebrate Howard''s life. His ashes will be placed by his mother in Minnesota. Howard was born at St. Ann''s Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, September 17, 1937 to Howard D. Pendleton. and Merle (Hulett) Pendleton. He started in the plumbing trade working for his father''s business, Pendleton Plumbing, in La Crosse, WI. He was a licensed journeyman for Local 384/125 Plumbers & Pipefitters since 1968. He worked for numerous businesses all over Iowa for several years through Local 384/125. On October 31, 1959, he married Karen Johnson. They had six children. Dawn Anguiano of Las Vegas, NV, Howard (Bill) Pendleton of Las Vegas, NV, Penny Englekes of Memphis, TN, Kimberly Pendleton of Las Vegas, NV, Randy Pendleton of Las Vegas, NV, Sandra Dennis of Longview, WA. He later had two children, Steven Dybevik of Waterloo, IA and Teresa Dybevik of Cedar Rapids, IA; with Emily Dybevik-O''Connell. He married Melissa Petersen on April 28, 1984 and had twins, Rachael Pendleton of Chico, CA and Raymond Pendleton of Waterloo, IA. He is survived by all of his children, his brother Edward Pendleton of Kenosha, WI, Timothy Pendleton of LaCrose, WI, and Deborah Marvin in Beloit, WI, 25 grand children, and 2 great grand children. He was preceded in death by a brother, David W. Pendleton in 1949, and his parents Howard D. Pendleton in 1993, Merle Pendleton in 1994, and one grandson Matthew Anguiano in 1997. Howard enjoyed working on cars, gardening, cooking, feeding squirrels, chatting on the phone with family & good friends, and watching television. He particularly loved the company of his cat Mr.Tee. Howard had several care givers at Allen Hospital & Digestive Diseases Center, Covenant Hospital, The Mayo Clinic, Meals on Wheels, Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Southeast Iowa Ambulance Service, St. Lukes Hospital, ER & Hospice. We would like to thank you all for your loving and professional care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter for spay and neuter surgery, or adopt a homeless pet.
