Obituary for Clifford Moon

Clifford Moon Jr., 74, of Fredericksburg, IA died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Western Home, Cedar Falls, IA following an extended illness. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Hillcrest Baptist & Brethren Church, 300 Southeast Ave, Fredericksburg, IA. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is handling arrangements, Survivors include his daughters, Linda (Chris) Avery of Bettendorf, IA, Portia (Greg) Stone of Fredericksburg, IA and Madena (Brad) Burman of De Soto, IA. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Clifford was preceded in death by parents, wife, sister and a brother. Clifford Moon was born November 22, 1932 in Eastman, GA the son of Clifford & Pauline (Smith) Moon. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Clifford married Portia Mae Goodwin on September 16, 1966 in Waterloo, IA. Portia died December 22, 2001. He was a truck driver for many years until his retirement.
