Richard M. Wytrwal

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dick. He had a compassion for his work and love of life that few people have ever achieved. He leaves a void in many peoples lives that will never be filled and will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. May knowing that he is in paradise with the Lord give you comfort during this time of grief and sorrow.

Dear John, Uh-OH! Things that begin with this never are good, but then neither is this. Sorry to hear about your brother-you know I always liked Rich and Lynn. I am sorry for your loss. I understand Erik lives in Chicago- as do I now, temporarily. Take care, Love Lisa P.S. My son Hunter grew up to be a pilot for the U.S. Airforce Academy-isn't that a twist of irony? I thought you'd want to know. L.

To the Entire Wytrwal family, it is with sadness that we see Dick depart this world but with great joy knowing he is finally home with his maker. Dick had a smile that would light up a room, a heart of gold, probably one of the funniest, most intelligent and best story tellers I have ever had the pleasure of sharing time with. I worked with Dick many years ago at Allied and grew to admire ad respect Dick and Lynn both. I somehow didn't put two and two together until I saw the obituary that Donna was his sister and I love her too. Goodness, kindness, and terrific smiles must run in the family. I hope to attend the Life Celebration. It does not surprise me that he would want a party so I'm sure there will be many stories shared that will bring laughter and fond memories to everyone. Best regards to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family in your time of sorrow. I have know Dick for over 7 years, and he was the most jovial and pleasant guy I had met. He was always willing to help with whatever I needed. He will truly be missed.

Dick is a champion in my book and his award-winning smile always made me feel welcome. If they gave Olympic medals for enthusiasm, commitment and friendship, Dick would have won them all. I am honored and proud to have known Dick and I am confident he would want all of us to celebrate his life. Dick had a positive impact on many.

Lynn, you and your family have constantly been in my thoughts and prayers since Sunday. May you find some comfort in knowing that so many others are thinking of you, care about you and the boys and are also experiencing sorrow as we come to realize we will not enjoy Dick's humor, knowledge and his friendship in the days ahead of us. All of my future experiences will be based on what he shared with me during his time on this earth. Those of us who began our relationship with Dick professionally and through that formed a personal friendship with him will miss him dearly. We are thankful for our time with him and our opportunity through him to get to know you. For that we are thankful. God Bless, Doris

To Dick's family, I work in a medical office in Fort Dodge. Dick gave a motivational talk to our staff this year. We found him very educational, entertaining and enjoyed his enthusiasm. Some of his words that stand out that I remember is when he explained to us that if we were driving to work and had a few minutes we needed to forget about work, turn up the radio, relax and enjoy our lives. He truly was a special man. My sympathy in your loss. Your family is in my prayers. Take care

To Lynn and all who knew Dick: There is no way to express my shock and sorrow at the loss of my friend and colleague. Dick gave so much to AAHAM and especially all of us in the Iowa/Illinois area. I'll never forget the chills that went up my spine when he sang at Kim Garvin's wedding, or his Elvis impersonation, and the many stories he told. He will be sorely missed.

Lynn, I spoke to Dick about our trip to tunica just last week, and he said he would make the next trip for sure, but I know he was with me this time, I came only one away from the money and it was Dick playing the hands for me.I'll miss him at our card games, and his jokes he always was sending me at work.We loved his outlook on life it was always great and he always made me feel better no matter how bad it was after I talked to him. Karon and I offer you both all of our prayers and want you to know we are here if you need us.

Really brings to mind the frailties of human life. When I sat next to Dick at the last AAHAM Board meeting, I had no idea it would be for the last time. I will miss him. Prayer: O Holy Spirit, Soul of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me. I promise to be submissive in whatever you bring my way, only show me your will. Amen

Dearest family of Richard M. Wytrwal, I met Dick through AAHAM. His spirit, light up a room smile and humor was the first thing I saw on his face. What a character! A dear man that loved his family like no other. My heart and prayers go out to you and yours. Thank-you for sharing him with all of us. Many blessing and lots of hugs, Carol
