Jane McMurry Metcalf, 86, of Johnston, died Wednesday May 9, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines after a short illness. Survived by children Bruce and wife Loretta of Apple Valley, MN, and Robert and wife Theresa of Johnston, a brother Melville B. McMurry of Midland, TX, and grandchildren; Alex, Alicia, Kevin, Sean, and Deirdre. Preceded in death by husband Lt. Col. Frederick H. Metcalf, her parents Tom Scott and Vashti McMurry, and a brother Dr. Scott McMurry. Jane loved to travel and share her experiences.
