Ronald Arthur Mesecher
Ronald Arthur Mesecher, 60, of 835 Mark Street in Jewell, IA died February 5, 2007 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames following an extended illness. Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Webster City. Visitation will follow the Services until 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa. Survivors include wife Linda; daughters Debbie Auestad and husband Todd of Jewell, and Beth Miller of Plymouth, MN; son Bobby Mesecher and wife Cayleen of Elkhart, IA; sisters Barb Carpenter and husband Marvin and Linda Lundy and husband Larry, all of Webster City. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren who were the love of his life; Dustin and Caitlin Rexroat, Jordan Bowers, and Preston and Bailee Mesecher. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry and Roger Mesecher, and nephew Larry "Boomer" Mesecher. Ronald Arthur Mesecher was born October 13, 1946 in Webster City, the beloved son of Arthur and Nadean (Madson) Mesecher. He was a 1965 graduate of Webster City High School, and later earned an apprenticeship in Tool and Die in Chicago. He worked various tool and die jobs in Ohio and then worked at Bornes in Ames prior to purchasing South Hamilton Lanes in Jewell in 1973 where he also ran his tool and die business. Ronald also had previously owned the Burger Barn, The Malibu Lounge, the Coach Lite Inn in Jewell, and the Dodger Tap in Fort Dodge before retiring in 2003. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bass Masters, and a member of BPAA. He greatly enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, golfing, Thursday night poker, computer games with his family, assembling things and working with his hands. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Ron''s name to the Israel Family Hospice House, 400 South Dakota St., Ames, Iowa 50014. Ron''s family would like to thank all of his friends and family for their thoughts and prayers throughout his life.
