Obituary for Susanne Claire Baty

Susanne Claire Birdsall Baty, 59, of Maquoketa died Friday December 21, 2007 in her home after a long illness. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Survivors include her husband, Corliss, two daughters Emily K. Baty of Centennial, CO and Erin (Solomon) J. Miller of Loveland, CO. Also surviving are her parents Anne and Weston Birdsall, three brothers, Scott, Shan, and Steven and one sister Sonne Nielsen. Susanne was born August 5, 1948 in Lincoln, NE, to Weston and Anne Birdsall. She attended Iowa State University, received her Bachelors at Drake University and received her Masters from the University of Iowa. She retired as principal of Cardinal Elementary School in Maquoketa. She was editor of Iowa Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
