Allen D. Bentrott, 69, of Hampton, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton, Iowa. Per his wishes, Allen was cremated. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Oakdale Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 2501 Eastern Ave, Davenport, Iowa. Allen is survived by his wife Daisy Bentrott; three daughters Mary (James) Haugen, Beth (Kenny) Geary, and Donna (Don) Viet; one son Dean (Connie) Bentrott; and one sister Elgeva (Harold) Petersen. Also surviving twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, one great granddaughter. Allen Dean Bentrott was born January 26, 1937 to Herman and Hertha (Bergert) Bentrott in Wheatland, Iowa. He married Daisy Dohrmund on January 18, 1959 in Wilton, Iowa. Allen served in the United States Army daring the Korean War from August 15, 1955 till his honorable discharge on July 31, 1961. He was a self-employed truck driver. A memorial has been established in Allen’s name.
