Sympathy to you and the family from another member of the l946 class.
Thinking of your family and praying for all of you. We had a great class of 1946.
Ray, Joan and Family -- I have many fond memories of Ruthie. She was a joy to be around at a time in my life when adults were not suppose to be fun and yet on her serious side she offered much wisdom. I am sorry to hear of her passing. Kevin
My condolences comes years late, but for a good reason. I was one of Mr Millard Clayton Port's caregivers at Sunrise Assisted Living. Mr Millard and Mrs Gerry (Geraldine) were my favorites to care for, help, fascinating conversations. Gerry would have me laughing so often with her stories. And Mr Millard was always so calm and collected. He dolted on her. Their love they shown to one another was beautiful. I was going thru a box of my parents and 2 of my brothers things when I found Millard's obit. As I read it (for the 100th time) I was curious if and of his family were around. I just wanted the family to know that Millard and Gerry were loved and respected by all. I learned valuable life lessons from these two. The most precious gift I learned was humbleness. Even tho its been since Jan 19, 2003, they live in those that love them and always will. Mr Millard spoke of his family often. And it was always with a smile, chuckle, and a rare laughter.
