Ruth D. Langridge

Ruth "Darlene" Langridge, 77, of 1170 Maplecrest Drive, died Friday, June 23, 2006 following a short illness. At the request of the family, there will be no services. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with the arrangements. Darlene was born on October 17th, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Claude and Anna (Larson) Port. She married Ray Langridge on October 17, 1947 in Davenport, IA. She was a homemaker throughout her life. Darlene is survived by her husband, Ray of Marion, one son Jim of Omaha, NE, one daughter Joan Hepker of Taylorsville, N.C., four granddaughters: Katie Langridge of St. Petersburg, Fl., Jodi Daniels and Joy Allen, both of Taylorsville, N.C., and Jill Davis of Granite Falls, N.C., and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Anna Port, three brothers: Millard, Maynard and Bernard Port, and two sisters: Fern Anderson and Glatha Fillenworth. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the staff on 4 Center at St. Lukes Hospital.
