Thomas F. Muller
When I was a student at the University from '69 to '72, I used to stop into Seiffert's quite often to see a familiar, friendly face. Your dad and I would swap stories about Manchester and particularly, my dad, Fibber McGee. We always had a good laugh. Tom was a nice man, and I'm sure you will miss him. Our condolences to all of you. Earth has lost a great man, but heaven has gained a wonderful soul. Patti McGee Glanz
Sara, my heartfelt condolences to you, your mom, and your brothers. I hope that the wonderful memories you have of your dad will help guide you through this difficult time.
To the family of Tom Muller: I worked at the Coral Fruit Market for several years and got to know Tom very well. I enjoyed talking with him. He could always make you feel better when you were down. He always had a joke or story to tell. I am sure that he will be greatly missed. I have missed him since I am not at the Fruit Market any more. He was there the last day to say goodbye. Sincere sympathy Shirley Conkity
To the adult chilren of Tom Muller: From reading others' memories of your Father, sounds like you had a special Dad & one who made small towm America a great place to live. May your memories bring on a smile and may you live up to his legacy. Chris High (friend of Sara's)
I was very saddened to learn of Tom's death. He got me involved in the Iowa City Downtown Association in the early 1980's, when I was a rookie businessman running the Hardee's restaurant. He taught me a lot about business, politics and life. Tom had the biggest smile and the hardest handshake... I'll always remember him cruising around town with the top down on that little red sportscar. A true gentleman who made downtown a happier place...he'll be greatly missed. My sincerest sympathies to the family---please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
You and your Family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Barb, I was very sorry to read in the paper today about Tom's passing. I think the last time I saw you was in Carlos O'Kelly's having dinner. That was several months ago. You both were looking good and you both had wonderful smiles. I am sure that you all will miss Tom very much. Please know that my prayers are with you. Sue Wells
Sara, My heartfelt condolences.
SUCH A SHOCKING PIECE OF NEWS! I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW KIND YOU AND TOM WERE TO MR FOLLOWING JO'S DEATH. IT SEEMS TRITE BUT SINCERELY, WHAT CAN I DO? I HOPE TO SEE YOU BARBARA, BUT RESTRICTIONS ON MY DRIVING MAY MEAN IT WILL BE LATER RATHER THAN SOONER. I MOURN WITH YOU; MAY HE REST IN PEACE.
Dear Barb and family; Tom, Tricia and girls: We offer our sincere condolences on your loss. We always enjoyed seeing Tom and Barb when they were visiting Colorado. We felt a connection to them, not only because of our Iowa backgrounds, but because they are "good people" and we admired their committment as grandparents and parents. We hope you can take comfort in your memories of Tom as husband, father, grandfather and friend. It is never easy to face this loss. We send love and support to you all. Tom and Tricia, we look forward to seeing our best friends back in Colorado. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Love, Debbie, Jon and Emily Wagner
To the family of Sara Muller, we are thinking of you and hope you are comforted in this time of sorrow. Jessica, Paul, and Lily Johnson
Dear Tom and Sara, My sister, Patti, let me know that your dad has passed away. I'm very sorry to hear that. He was always a good-looking, friendly face at Seifert's in Iowa City. I believe he was responsible for me establishing credit in my name. I bought my first "teacher" coat from him. My best to all of you and I hope your memories comfort you in your time of loss.
