Lawrence E. "Larry" Sprague, 49, 412 Prairie View Drive, Fairfax died Friday, August 27, 2004 at his home from a long illness. Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Herb Isenberg. A Memorial Service will also be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Axtell, Nebraska by the Rev. Erica Harley. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Survivors include his wife Debora of Fairfax; a son, Eric Sprague of Omaha, NE; a daughter, Emily Miller and husband Jake of Kansas City, MO; a step-daughter, Erica Robertson and husband John of Nashville, TN; a step-son, Drew Sayer of Ft. Collins, CO; his parents, Harold and Kathleen Sprague of Axtell, NE; his brothers, Terry Sprague of Boise, Idaho, Kevin Sprague and wife Rose of Aurora, CO and Randy Sprague of Woodruff, SC; a sister, Mary (Lisa) Sprague of Woodruff, SC; nieces, Jade and Jennifer Sprague; and a grandnephew, Collin Sprague. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Marie Sprague and Bernard and Mary Helmuth. Lawrence was born March 11, 1955 the son of Harold and Kathleen (Helmuth) Sprague in Alma, Nebraska. He married Debora Weaver on April 3, 1999 in Cedar Rapids. Larry was a graduate of Axtell High School, and attended Kearney State College. He was the District Manager of Family Dollar Corp. Larry was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He loved golf, walking, and watching sports. A special thanks to Dr. Carlisile and his staff in Iowa City and to the staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Westminster Presbyterian Church, or to First Presbyterian Church in Axtell. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa.
